President Obama’s Weekly Address

President Barack Obama focused on the Affordable Care Act this week because it’s making a difference in the lives of millions of Americans:

Unfortunately for Kentuckians, their new governor can barely spell “healthcare” and is allowing his Fox News ignorance and prejudices to lead him astray from reality. Bevin, for all his chest pounding about how terrible the federal government is, wants to give the feds control over Kentucky’s health care. Kentuckians will be forced into paying a surcharge to use the federal system and they’ll have no one local they can count on.

Because that’s how you do it in Kentucky. You screw the little people in order to appease your half-literate base.

Teddy Gordon’s Hype Game Is Dangerous For JCPS And The Community

Teddy Gordon is trying to take Jefferson County Public Schools to court. Again.

This time he’s claiming, via his publicist (seriously), that a Noe Middle School substitute teacher videotaped an officer attacking a student. The “assault”, as they called it, was allegedly sanctioned by both the principal and assistant principal at Noe, “as well as JCPS administrators” (from a release).

Gordon’s publicist claims the substitute teacher was forced by JCPS administrators to delete the footage and was fired.

By some miracle, they were able to recover the footage…?

Here’s what the publicist sent via email earlier today…

Part 1:

Part 2:

Look like an attack? An assault? Hardly. Looks like someone taking care to get a student to comply. It appears the student wasn’t even aggressively handled. Not remotely like video from a few months back. Crappy for the student? Absolutely. Unnecessary? Probably. An assault? No. But that’s not what you’ll hear from the local media.

You know I’d be losing my mind if this was something terrible.

This is just standard Teddy Gordon hype. If he’s not trying to segregate schools by ending busing, he’s suing to do… whatever it is he’s trying to do. A real shame.

He’s holding a presser tomorrow at 10, which should be absolutely fascinating.

This is why we can’t have nice things.
