You wanted proof that Jim King was lying his skinny ass off (he lost like 800 pounds – copycat!) when he said he had a good working relationship with Greg Fischer? Here’s your proof.

Like we told you on Friday… The woman that jackass constable shot at Walmart in Louisville? She says she wasn’t a shoplifter and she’s got Maury Kommor’s firm representing her. Kommor doesn’t typically represent fools (being a former prostitute doesn’t mean she’s necessarily a fool) so here’s betting this Whitlock guy is up shiz creek without a paddle. Thankfully. Maybe he’ll finally be taken off the streets. [C-J/AKN]

This is one for the history books: a right-wing independent expenditure group got an anti-Jack Conway ad correct. Strange, for sure. And it’s being completely ignored by the mainstream media – they’re allow Jack Conway to white wash the scandal as he has done for a year. [Page One]

Did you know you live in the sleepiest city in the country? Maybe it has something to do with the bars being open until 4:00 A.M. [CBS News]

HAHAHA! Papaw Beshear looks like Pinocchio in this fancy artwork. Check it out. [H-L]

Allowing this guy to carry a gun and arrest people is about the craziest thing we’ve heard in Louisville in months. And that’s saying a lot. [FOX41]

You could do this thing where you learn about Cuba and poetry tonight if you’re not interested in politics. Or you could go pay money to listen to right-wing nut John Zogby pretend he knows what’s going on in the world on Thursday. [Consuming Louisville]

It’s a great thing that some Jefferson County Public Schools students are learning to garden. All students should be forced into this. [WAVE3]

Kentucky faces a crazy bleak financial outlook but you won’t hear the Democrats talking about that today or tomorrow. [Business First]

Jefferson County Public Schools will hold a special meeting this afternoon to again discuss the student assignment plan. JCPS to waste your taxpayer dollars fighting to keep it in 3, 2… [WHAS11]

The local Board of Health is still mulling recommendations on the University of Louisville Hospital merger. [WFPL]

Another day, another West End shooting. Here’s hoping Greg Fischer grows a set of balls and hires a police chief that isn’t afraid of the West End. [WLKY]

Don’t forget that Metro Animal Services has a massive $500,000 deficit that Greg Fischer’s folks are trying to spin as necessary. Only Kelly Downard has the guts to stand up – Jim King can’t be bothered to do so and Tina Ward-Pugh is an excuse machine. Greg and Miss Sadiqa have some questions to answer – which we expect them to ignore – but we have more salacious material than they can fathom.

In Louisville, there’s something taboo for the Democrats to discuss: buying the black vote. Because that’s truly what happens. You can rest assured that any time you see the name “Clarence Yancey” related to anything political, it’s because he’s buying up the vote with BBQ or by taking politicians that have never stepped foot in Louisville’s West End to various churches.

Guess Tom and Claudia Riner couldn’t get enough of the West End to turn out for Adam so he had to turn to Clarence.

And before anyone jumps in foaming at the mouth about racism? Save it. Because you know it’s true. This is how ever politician from Adam Edelen to Martha Layne Collins buys the black vote.

Kentucky unveiled 19 additional low-achieving schools and five of them are in Jefferson County. [WFPL]

Guess we really do need to point out that the Democrats did the same thing in 2008. Now they’re accusing Republicans of doing it and the mainstream is essentially ignoring the hypocrisy.
Because the Herald-Leader’s Beth Musgrave certainly made it a point to mention it. And she wasn’t even writing about the scandal in 2008 that we recall. [H-L]

This is clearly the most important story in the city, right? Something about Joe Biden telling a reporter to suck it? Yeah, nothing else going on in Louisville of import.
Home of the Innocents definitely needs donations. But you don’t have to go to Amazon to buy them.

Remember when the Republican Party of Kentucky filed a complaint with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance (like this) begging them to take Bluegrass Freedom Fund ads off the air because they weren’t revealing their donors (remember Bill Yung and his $1 million contribution?)??? Remember that? They were alleging collusion because donors of the group and the Beshear Campaign were identical.

Bill Yung allegedly dropped his million bucks and then ran around the state telling every reporter who would listen to him how he was working hard for the campaign. Maybe that’ll refresh your memory.

KREF dismissed the RPK complaint, which effectively held that having identical donors is insufficient when proving coordination between a campaign and an outside group. They basically said that only the content of the ads could get them pulled from the airwaves – not their source of funding.

Yeah? You remember now? Funny how that works. Because the mainstream media certainly forgot.

Quick, everybody freak out over this tenth of a cent tax increase by Jefferson County Public Schools! [Toni Konz]

There are even more subpoenas against Judy Green. This nightmare will apparently never end for our nice little city. [WFPL]

Whaaat? Steve Beshear got subpoenaed after refusing to divulge Saudi connections. We hear this isn’t going to end well for papaw. Maybe he shouldn’t have killed the contracts of people doing business at the Kentucky Horse Park who knew all the dirt? I mean, really, check this paragraph out: Kentucky Horse Park officials have since admitted in depositions that the KHP Foundation kept hundreds of thousands of dollars purportedly sent for the Exhibit while failing to divulge there was unspent funds. While the Exhibit was in development, Gov. Bashear carried on subsequent meetings and conversations with the Saudis in pursuit of more funding for undisclosed purposes, hosting a private dinner at the Governor’s mansion for Saudi Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, former Deputy Director of Saudi Intelligence and son in law of King Abdullah. The Saudis are now lobbying Congress and the Administration for nuclear supplies. Members of the US Congress have voiced serious concerns about this request, noting concerns about the country’s instability and the Saudi’s oft stated goal of gaining parity with Iran’s nuclear capabilities. [Press Release]

It comes as no surprise that the Republican Party of Kentucky is calling for an expanded review of Steve Beshear’s fundraising. In light of this Saudi scandal, well, uh, it seems necessary.
Cordish can afford to buy a $3 million parking garage but can’t afford to renovate properties or spend its own money operating 4th Street Live? HAHA.
