    It is nice that UofL is honoring Ali. At the same time, one wonders what it is doing for black poverty in the city’s poorest black neighborhoods (including the one Ali came from). In those areas, the federal poverty rate is 40% or more, making Louisville #9 for the poorest record in inner-city black poverty in America. I hope UofL can do something more to alleviate that huge problem and not just make a ceremonial gesture for one individual.
