First off, there is no debacle with Tom Owens. Everyone has been aware of the potential conflict. Owens (and apparently UofL?) has offered several options to alleviate the issue, it’s become apparent to everyone there is no way to work around it legally, so they’re doing the right thing and selling off the land.

Owens has shown himself to be about as honest and forthright a politician, government employee and human being as you canfind in this day and age, and this decision on his part confirms that fact.

    First off, it’s Owen.

Second, it’s been a years-long debacle that at times he and his family have been cagey about.

One would think an employee of Perkins + Will would be able to avoid public spin. Guess not.
