Too Little, Too Late From These Weak Democrats

Another day, another murder in Louisville. This time in the Newburg neighborhood. [WDRB]

Maybe these weak ass Democrats could have spoken up a long time ago about Steve Beshear playing politics with Kentucky Kingdom? The things Dan Johnson has to say now fall on deaf ears. And Ed Hart is still owed millions by the state and he’s about to be screwed again. [C-J/AKN]

People can’t even go to their kid’s football game these days without getting arrested and causing a scene. [WAVE3]

The right to choose the school you want your child to attend has been the subject of court battles and bitter political debates. Still, both President Obama and GOP challenger Mittens Romney have made school choice a cornerstone of their efforts to reform public education. [NPR]

Teachers in Oldham County can’t even grab their students’ faces without being suspended these days. [WHAS11]

Here’s a look at some Southern Indiana corruption at its best. A property that received no bids at a Clark County Commissioners’ tax sale earlier this year was sold for $500 — without a public meeting or a vote on the sale — to a commissioner’s daughter July 4. [News & Tribune]

Kentucky State Police said they are investigating an escaped inmate from the old downtown detention center on Oct. 1. [WLKY]

Why does this guy STILL head Metro Corrections? A producer with MSNBC’s award-winning prison documentary series “Lockup” says Louisville Metro Corrections Director Mark Bolton made inaccurate statements about the city’s contract with the cable news network. [WFPL]

Deadly tornadoes, freak windstorms, crippling ice, torrential downpours, unrelenting heatwaves and flash flooding that swallows streets and homes — Louisville’s recent weather has become a roller coaster of extremes. [C-J/AKN]

JCPS salaries are a huge part of the budget. By most standards, Jefferson County Public Schools is a huge organization with widespread impact on the community. [Business First]

So who are the “weak ass Democrats ” you are referring to?

Every single Democrat who has refused to criticize the governor or ask important questions for fear of retribution. Especially those in Louisville who refuse to speak up. There’s one female Democrat (holding elected office) I’m specifically thinking of who won’t say a word because because afraid her nephew will lose his job.

Also, people like Jim King who have been sitting on their hands and playing pat-a-cake behind the scenes.

As Ed Hart learned months ago? It’s all personal politics. Never about the community or doing the right thing with the current crowd in charge. Unless called out publicly, they don’t back down.

I’m personally pleased to see Dan Johnson speaking up now but believe he should have done so a long time ago.

Wonder what bank account Bolton deposited that $20,000 into…

I’ve followed the Kentucky Kingdom fiasco quite closely. There is no excuse for this side-show to continue. Ed Hart is a highly successful businessman. Along with him are Bruce Lunsford and Ed Glasscock — both of whom are experienced businessmen, who aren’t afraid of new ideas and abhor the status quo.
The Fair Board should end this pointless baloney IMMEDIATELY and get this project underway so that there might be a possibility for it to be utilized next summer.
The City (and State [in this instance]) have an enormously difficult time making decisions. It seems that there’s always a reluctance to lead by STARTIN THE PARADE. There seems to be a preference to wait until the PARADE’S a half dozen blocks down the street — then they pick and choose to join in depending on where their ‘friends’ are. This is not leadership. Anybody can join a PARADE that’s already in motion.
Wouldn’t it be nice if a political leader would simply say, for example, that the retirement system is a DISASTER and make a proposal to fix it? That’s called ‘starting the PARADE.’

Politicans are single-minded, ravenous, sociopathic egos who are fueled by power bought by taxpayer’s money. It is not in their nature to do the right thing. Ever. Honest politicians = humane serial killers.
