City’s Public Servants Deserve Praise, WAVE? None

October 15th, 2012 by jake · 2 Comments

Underrated: Louisville Fire, EMS & LMPD for working like champs at an apartment fire this morning. These professionals deserve the city’s praise and more respect from Fischer’s administration.

Overrated: WAVE3′s Chris McGill for being a complete dick to private property owners, lying about it and then treating public servants as underlings. Weird, dishonest ego trips are not cool when lives are potentially at stake and people are worried about losing their homes.

Moral to this story: your city’s best – the people who will save your life when it’s needed – are consummate professionals. Television reporter with an ego bigger than Jake’s? The opposite of that.

For the record: We allowed other stations and media outlets to park and operate from our private property. But not that asshat. Not after that behavior with everyday citizens and the overworked, beyond tired servants of the public. Update: To top things off, WAVE later parked in the middle of a street, blocking private drives as soon as LMPD left the scene. And Mr. Big Pants Reporter flicked about a dozen half-smoked cancer sticks into the neighbor’s yard. That’s how seriously WAVE takes its job, apparently. (Every other outlet, again, has been superbly professional. Especially a local newspaper.)

BIG P.S. Louisville Fire even cares about your pets!

Of course, these are the people that keep blowing off about Working For You and having a GM with an ego bigger than Bill Lambs. That’s an ego the size of the Grand Canyon. But I’m sure they are working for you or more like working to make sure Mr. Selvaggi or whatever his name is get the big promotion or raise.

Some super ego reporters – They get in the way, try to get distraught family to talk and I have had one actually try to eavesdrop on a patient talking to the EMS people, claiming it was his “right”. Bottom feeders like that need to get a life and get out of ours.
