One of those occasions is now.
Here you go:
During tonight’s Louisville Metro Council meeting Councilman David James (D-6) will honor two officers of the Louisville Metro Police Department who thwarted a kidnapping in Jeffersontown on August 4th.
Officers Fred Wilson and Daniel Goldberg made a routine traffic stop for expired tags when they found the owner of the car bound and gagged in the trunk of the vehicle. Three men who had taken the car and thrown its owner Shawn Bloemer in the trunk were arrested.
James will offer proclamations for the officers’ courage and meritorious service and the Metro Council will thank the officers for their continued service to the community.
The Metro Council meeting begins at 6:00pm in Council Chambers, 601 West Jefferson Street.
Here’s hoping the rest of the city takes note and honors those officers.
