Today Congressman John Yarmuth meets with the Kentucky Motor Transport Association, Passport Health Plan, the International Franchise Association, the American Psychological Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Rheumatology. [Press Release]

We can’t decide if this one is good or bad. The Urban Land Institute has named Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and three other officials to serve in fellowships for the institute’s Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership through 2013. [C-J/AKN]

Remember the Louisville Zoo train ride that just cold tried to murder everybody dead? It’s coming back. [WHAS11]

Need an example of someone who busts their rear end and stands up to Greg Fischer? Attica Scott is that person. She’s still standing up to him and calling him out for playing pat-a-cake. [WFPL]

Jefferson County’s wide-open school board race is quickly shaping up as a referendum on the district’s student assignment policy. Interesting to see David Jones run from open superintendent reviews and to completely refuse to discuss the mere notion of neighborhood schools. Here’s what Kelly Downard had to say about the HOA murders: “Our prayers go out to everyone involved in this tragedy as we continue the grieving and healing process. David and Marvin stepped forward and dedicated themselves to making their neighborhood and our community a better place to live. These two fine gentlemen and leaders will be missed by all who knew them.” [Press Release]

Its a shame that the maintenance manager who was responsible for getting the new train up and running just quit the zoo. It is, too, a shame that the mechanic responsible for the new train has quit the zoo. The entire horticulture crew has quit the zoo. What the hell is going on at the zoo?
