Really, you need another reason to roll your eyes at Greg Fischer’s violence “task force”? You already know how sad it is.
How about this? It’s a tweet from one of those task force members:
Drake how you sound gay then use the B-word to be hard. Especially that tie dye shirt lol.
Chose not to reveal his name because it’s not important (we’ll send you screenshots via email if you’re interested, Greg).
When you use “gay” in a derogatory manner, you spread homophobia. There are no exceptions when using it in such a manner. He may not mean to come across as anti-gay but let’s get real. Louisville cannot end its violence problem until it ends discriminatory language like this.
We suppose Greg Fischer is hugely supportive of someone on that task force using hateful, homophobic language.

Several years ago, I was a member of the then mayor’s group to look at what can be done to stop youth violence. The group all agreed that both suicide and homicide needed to be included.
Every year in Metro Louisville suicide deaths out number homicide deaths. In fact since the start of the school year, there have been 6 youth suicide deaths in the Metro area.
The task force the Mayor put together needs to include a plan to help prevent suicide deaths in the Metro
