Where does WAVE3′s management stand politically?
Take a look at this:

Nice picture, eh?
There was a couple year lull where partisanship took a backseat among station management. Then the new crew came in and, well, we’re back to the mouth-breathers ruining a terrific station with their unimportant opinions.

Does anyone tune in to Wave news? I don’t even visit their website and it’s not because of their politics — it’s because they’re boring.

I tune into WAVE3 News – sometimes – like at 11am when The View is a rerun, or weekend evenings when sports broadcasting delays the news on the other stations… ;-P

Boring or not, some of the WAVE3 News personalities seem to be genuinely likable people, who quite often give more accurate info more quickly on local news alerts than other stations. Rather than say “South End” or “Southwest,” they will name the actual street of a fire or of an arrest – which is info I quickly want to know.

I guess I got used to not watching WAVE because Tom Wills would literally crash my brain with the cadence of his mumbling.

Non-partisanship amongst station managers went out the window when companies like Clear Channel took over. You might think WDRB was “independent” of Faux News but have you listened to Blowhard Bill lately? During the last congressional election, he all but called for voting for Rep Yarmuth’s opponent. How can they do that on the “public” airwaves? As for not watching WAVE, it’s mainly because it seems to be a dumping ground for disregarded news people from other local stations.

I find the local TV personalities for the most part to be annoying, In my view, the worst is probably Janelle McDonald followed up by Woolsey. Something about those two make me want to throw up in my mouth. The worst radio station though has to be WHAS. They took what used to be a generally moderate and non political station and turned it into 19 hours of political talk and other nonsense. The only thing I find interesting about WHAS is when Coast to Coast AM comes on the air. At least the crazy people on that show aren’t beating the Republican war drums constantly or playing the same idiotic soundbites over and over. Or listening to mouth breathing Mandy for hours on end. I find the comments by Blowhard Bill to sometimes actually be well thought out and other times well just nonsense. However, it seems that WAVE3 under Selvaggi seems to always have to try to match everyone else including Blowhard Bill. WAVE3 also seems to like to censor people comments in a ridiculous way. Just like WDRB had comments regarding Fischers Vision for Louisville and took most of them down because they were critical of the city and local government. What’s up with that? They can’t handle criticism?
