Greg Fischer Gets Confronted By Whistleblower

March 23rd, 2012 by jake · 17 Comments

This happened on Greg Fischer’s favorite thing, Facebook:

And then Metro Parks whistleblower Joey Sears did this:

Greg still refuses to deal with the scandal.

Next week is going to be a lot of fun, FYI.

UPDATE:

The Fischer crew have been hard at work deleting comments all day – including addition questions from Sears.

Then this happened:

More comments:

Actually, they delete any comment that’s critical or sheds light on a scandal Greg’s folks are sweeping under the rug. But we digress.

He’s already deleted that comment as well as one I posted asking why parks in Bowling Green are ran so much better than metro parks despite the fact that they operate on a significantly smaller budget. Even without this scandal, Heitz should have been fired, the parks department is ran horribly from top to bottom. How this along with performance didn’t at least get Heitz out baffles me. I know they look out for each other, but they don’t seem to get that they will all be put out once this gets out to the public. Election time is coming fast, and he is doing the same stuff Jerry did. People will catch on, and when they do, may God have mercy on their souls…

I’m not sure Fischer cares about getting re-elected. He is just spending his 4 years trying to get as much attention in the social rags as he can. He fooled a lot of people into believing there would be a change from the happy pants administration. this city doesn’t matter to Fischer he will go back to being and elitist living off his fathers money. This guy is a joke

  • 3 jake // Mar 23, 2012 at 4:32 pm

There is nothing wrong with being elitist.

Unless you’re screwing an entire city government while being an elitist.

Probably true, about him just wanting this for the social circles. But, I do think he is trying to get re elected based on how quickly he policed his facebook page. He just doesn’t get how politics is played, you at least want to address a scandal like this rather than try to cover it up in such an obvious manner. I mean, he didn’t take off the comment I left comparing him to the head of the New York political machine during the 1880′s, yet he deleted the one where I asked him about BG parks. He needs a good lesson in politics and what it means to be a politician and deal with your constituents…

WOW the Mayor left a comment on his FB page I have never seen that

  • 6 jake // Mar 23, 2012 at 5:08 pm

You mean an angry Chris Poynter left a comment.

  • 7 DD // Mar 23, 2012 at 5:17 pm

So Fischer is even fooling us into believing he has control over his facebook page .

Are you kidding me!….He follows Jerry’s play book !….don’t respond , just ignore those who ask hard questions and most people are too busy with their Own day to Day problems to even know or care how bad they are getting F’d.

rocker, 100 percent correct. After all hard questions may be to hard to asnwer

Wake up guys, Greg doesn’t care about re-election, he is positioning to run for Congress hence the pathetic attempt of taking over the limb Metro Democratic Party. Luckily for the city, Lynn ran into a roadblock in the form of an elected official’s relative, no coming back from her (seriously she is a tiger). Jake you should start covering this, it’s a pretty good story.

  • 11 jake // Mar 23, 2012 at 10:14 pm

Sorry, Greg’s not running for Congress. Even the Brown Family is slowly abandoning him.

Lynn got her ass schooled by Lisa Tanner shortly before she left the state. And she’s still fucking things up/making it harder for her brother and Democrats in general. Her ego is worse than mine (and that’s saying a lot – she can blow me/dare her idiot ass to mention my name again – she knows what I know)…

There are several Party folks related to electeds who are giving Lynn and Greggie some hell. Not just Tony Lindauer’s foreign lady who, no, isn’t doing much. If you mean Mrs. Lindauer is a lion? Haha, riiiight. Thanks for the laugh.

I admire the guy for standing up against the machine. He has my support.

This is the best we have out of how many millions of citizens? The older I get the more rare it is to see a real leader in action. It seems that most politicians talk a lot about morality, virtue, and honor… but talk it cheap, and few actually walk the walk.

With Greg, it’s compassion, transparency and entrepreneurial spirit.

The three things he’s working hard to kill.

Rather, the three things he has succeeded at killing or continuing to kill.

It’s all puppies and rainbows listening to the couple of disconnected, non-political, fluff “bloggers” in Louisville (two females come to mind) who only write about things that make them happy or excited. They like Greg because he’s a “nice man” or “says cool things” or “came to that party” or “held a press conference at an ice cream shop”…

Those types blindly fall into line while continuing to complain about problems they’re ignorantly prolonging with their blind support.

I’m never going to write about something just because it makes me feel good. UNLESS it’s about bourbon.

Have you hugged a Democrat today?

  • 16 Joey Sears // Apr 7, 2012 at 6:05 pm

As much as I respect anyone who is in a position to lead. such as the position Greg is in as Mayor. after awhile it gets old seeing him post things on his Facebook page. things that have nothing to do with being a leader, and seem more like the post of a High School student. (“lets give a shout out”)
Of course there may be some people who read this and think wow what a hypocrite Joey is have you ever read his facebook post. I’m not a public figure. I’m not a person who is in a political position. just a guy with a private facebook page posting jokes I have written to try to make my friends laugh.
As a park worker I remember Greg meeting with us at the Iroquois amphitheater after he was first elected. I remember very clearly Greg talking about accountability and transparency words he used quite often that day. a year and a few months later after he is elected and those words just sound cliche.
Mayor Fischers facebook page is just a daily reminder to the people of his hypocrisy. and in my opinion a punch to the face of anyone who voted to elect Mr Fischer.
I don’t have a very strong feeling that anything good will ever come out of my situation. that feeling is not based on my ability to keep on fighting for what is right. its only based on my feeling of what kind of leaders we have elected.
I can only wish I have done Mike Heitz a favor by allowing him to get in touch with what seems in my opinion to be a problem with alcohol. I hope the decision I made to do what I believe was right may have allowed Mr Heitz to avoid something tragic. something that could have affected not only his life and family but the life and family of someone else. Its not a good feeling to get a call telling you that someone you love has been killed by an impaired driver. I know from experience.

It is time for a lawsuit about this. Fisher is not going to let this end in favor of Sears unless he is forced to. I don’t know all of the evidence he has at his disposal, if it isn’t good, he might not want to file. But if it is, win or lose, it would do a lot of good for the city and for the people involved. Mr. Sears, you could help weed out corruption in Louisville. This wouldn’t make it all go away, but you could at least send a message that these people aren’t invincible and remind them of who they really work for. Our city government has had to deal with this nonsense for over a decade starting with Jerry, and I am sick and tired of it. I don’t live in Louisville anymore, but everytime I come back, it seems more and more hopeless and more and more run down. The only nice thing is the new arena, but now that it is essentially taking a loss, it doesn’t even seem that impressive. Even people in the state congress are fed up with Greg. I know one who said that said him and Jerry and all of the “do gooders” in the local government are the sole reason that we have no bridge. The state has been willing to get them that money for over a decade, yet they refuse to accept that we can’t afford to have two of them, so neither one will ever get built. Honestly, even if you did win, I wouldn’t take the job back, it would be a nightmare if you did, but Fisher isn’t going to give in, and neither are Heitz or Storch. But, that being said, I would love nothing more than to see this go to court. If it did, all of their dirty laundry would come out, and they would have to tell the truth about it or face possible perjury charges. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do, myself and every concerned Louisvillian or former Louisville resident are pulling for you.
