Just When We Thought LMAS Did Something Right

We were about to applaud Metro Animal Services for promoting success stories until we stumbled upon this:

See that?

Metro Animal Services offers the only classroom humane education program in animal welfare in the region

Not exactly based in reality. Since, you know, the following all offer the same programs:

  • The Louisville Zoo
  • Kentucky Humane Society
  • Second Chances Wildlife
  • Raptor Rehab

And we wonder why euthanasia isn’t dropping at a rate that’s noticeable and we wonder why communication from LMAS has essentially become non-existent.

It’s all about spin and controlling public perception.

Note: The former outreach coordinator for LMAS refused to put that on the LMAS website because it’s not based in reality.

Would it be easier to ask if there are any metro agencies that are not screwed up? There is so much stupid crap that continues to float on the surface. Every week its been LMAS, now the mayor’s office and the doofus himself, sprinkle EMS, MSD, Parks, the Zoo in there and I can’t think one positive story since Fischer took office? Metro Council members continue to fail at fixing LMAS or do anything of substance for any of the city ‘s lingering problems. The damn place is over flowing with shit that even the man hole covers are blowing off.
