Fairness Says It’s Going Statewide On Teevee

February 15th, 2012 by jake · 4 Comments

Fairness says it’s running this commercial across the state:

According to a release, the ad will initially air in Central Kentucky, eventually spreading to Eastern Kentucky.

No word on buys, the amount being spent, duration or anything like that.

Thoughts on the ad?

A positive spot that keeps it classy. That said, it probably won’t be that effective in changing any minds, but perhaps it is designed to raise awareness of the need for ACTION among those who already agree with the cause in principal.

An interesting note: in the socio-economically and educationally diverse rainbow of Kentuckians shown here, there are no black MEN. Is this reflective of the Schapiro Group poll cited?

I think it’ll be effective for reminding the people who AREN’T bigoted that they need to be more engaged.

And no one – not even me – can poo-poo that.

Not every ad has to include every race. A bit too obvious.

I hope you’re skeerd, Charlie, because we actually agree.
