Bill Clinton On Occupy Wall Street’s Mission

January 9th, 2012 by jake · 1 Comment

Even Bill Clinton thinks Occupy Wall Street needs a more pointed focus:

I asked if the Occupy Wall Street movement should have a platform. I was getting into another area he is passionate about, delivering messages on point. “Yes,” he said, “But it doesn’t have to be a platform; it doesn’t have to be twenty pages. They should start with three or four points to generate a political movement to get heard more clearly.”

We’ll say it for the millionth time. Until meemaw and poppop can understand everything the ‘Occupy’ folks are calling for, it’s not going to make as much of an impact as it could.

KISS really does apply here.

I really love that the Occupy folks are going about things. The Right’s heads explode, and they foam at the mouth, and scream, and call names, and generally make shit up. The Left’s heads explode, and they gripe and whine because “These kids aren’t doing things they way we did back in the day, so they’re wrong.”
