Remember when Greg Fischer referred to Attica Scott as “Atticus”? Because he associates her with To Kill A Mockingbird or something equally weird?

Councilwoman Scott has invited the mayor to join her for a “Reality Ride” and we couldn’t be more entertained/excited.

From her announcement:

Her “District 1 Reality Ride” is designed to show the Mayor areas of importance in the district needing attention.

“The Mayor will get a chance to see firsthand what I have been hearing from residents and others,” says Scott. “There were many areas of the district that were neglected throughout much of 2011.”

Scott and the Mayor will leave from the LMPD’s 2nd Division at 10:00am. The District 1 Reality Ride will travel to key areas in the western end of the district: Rubbertown, 28th & Dumesnil, the Parkland Boys & Girls Club, as well as some areas dealing with vacant and abandoned property.

“District 1 is a diverse area geographically and I have invited he Mayor to join me for a second Reality Ride in February to tour concern areas in the southwest end of our district,” says Scott. “I appreciate the Mayor’s willingness to learn what the concerns are and how we can address them collaboratively.”

Will Greg take her up on the invitation? He certainly needs to.
