Your Paper’s Fischer Coverage Will Blow Your Mind

January 3rd, 2012 by jake · 2 Comments

John David Dyche proves he has no grasp of local issues, only those on the state level. Again.

John David Dyche, a conservative author whose columns appear in The Courier-Journal, said Fischer has had a successful first year…

-SNIP-

“The evidence is in his good relationship with Metro Council Republicans on issues ranging from the budget to his handling of the MSD scandal,” Dyche said. “He’s had good support from Republicans, and it’s easy to underestimate the importance of that when things are going smoothly.”

Because it’d require a serious lack of local knowledge to believe any of that, right?

And zero mention of: Metro Animal Services, The Parks drunk, Miss Sadiqa and the rest of the messes?

Yeah. GREAT year. So might has well trot out some white washing of the most recent Fischer history.

Wow.

White washing indeed! I like how he supposedly “forced Wayne to resign” after squelching on his promises to stop what Wayne Z. was doing at the shelter – ignoring the killing.
It took YOU pointing out what Wayne was doing on the side. It’s not like he figured it out himself. Fischer was embarrassed and had no other choice.
And I LOOOOVEE how the CJ just says “Hired 26-year-old Justin Scally” as if two dozen wrong steps weren’t taken before that – like lying and having backdoor meetings and saying there was going to be a legitimate search and then a legitimate bid and then, when no one just did what they wanted and did not cower from threats, the administration simply picks the director behind closed doors.

    Disgusting

Yeah – a whole host of white washing in that timeline. It’s almost comical when they pat themselves on the back without giving credit to other breaks in stories that were done by other groups. Unbelievable.
