Really, this is what you want your downtown to look like, Louisville? And a skate part is the most important thing? Not the actual park? [C-J/AKN]

Basically, we’re all going to drown because of the record rainfall. And today it’s maybe gonna snow. [H-L]

Coal extraction is posing a climate challenge, to say the least, for the Obama Administration. But coal states wouldn’t be voting for Barack Obama anyway. [WaPo]

Did you see this funny video of Rand Paul and his overlord daddy, Ron? Growing Up Paul. [Page One]

Uh, check this out. We smell something better than Metro Animal Services. Prisoners raising pups. [C-J/AKN]

I64 should be rerouted at the Waterson or the Snyder so that it combines with I71. Trying to combine three interstate highways in that small location is insane.

I’m read for the snow, come what may. I’ve got my WDRB Snow Fox, right next to my Fishin’ Santa, which is right next to our Nativity. I picked up the Snow Fox at the Galt House, right after I saw all those beautiful lighted Christmas sculptures…

As a kid I used to burn discarded Christmas trees with lighter fluid. One year I thought it would be cool to lean the Christmas tree against an abandoned house, climb up on the roof, squirt lighter fluid from above, and set the tree on fire. I ended up with a gigantic fireball that scorched the side of the house (I jumped off the roof in case the house was totally involved.) Not one of my smartest moves, but I was a 10-year-old kid and fire was cool at that age…

Just a heads up – visited all three recycling places yesterday to get some Christmas-tree mulch. Only Brownsboro had mulch – Merriweather & Outer Loop were just taking drop offs.
