Some Big Rumors Floating Around Metro Govt

December 8th, 2011 by jake · 3 Comments

We hear through the gayvine that Lynne Fleming, assistant director of Metro HR, is leaving to go to work for the Metro Sewer District.

MSD allegedly offered her more money and she’s taking the plunge because she’s unhappy with the shenanigans of Greg Fischer’s misadministration.

We also hear that LMEMS may cause some drama in front of the Metro Council this evening. The agency has been working without a contract for nearly 18 months.

Maybe the head of the agency will finally have to answer questions about why he’s, you know, never at work?

I like Ms. Fleming, but if she could put up with Jerry’s management style of narcissism and co-dependency amongst the directors and assistant directors, then Fischer’s should be a welcome relief.

This lady should have stayed buried in the city’s old law department. Fortunately for her, Jerry had an obvious pattern of hiring/promoting/retaining female attorneys in his administration. She is a train wreck in the HR area – not very knowledgeable as an HR practitioner, an ineffective manager due mainly to some really poor people skills, indecisive – the list could continue. Maybe Watson, the new HR director, is calling her out on these issues and she’s chosen to move on…..naw, someone from Beshear’s administration is not that competent. Appears Fleming will fit in well with the collusion and incompetence that is rampant at MSD as she continues to feed at the public trough (and with a raise in pay).

Never could figure out how she qualified as hr – she had zero background in it.
