All the mouth-breathers in town are going to freak out when they learn Betty Winston Baye will soon be appearing on FOX41/WDRB/whatever the hell station it is beginning December 12 during the 10:00 P.M. newscast. She’ll be delivering fancy “Point of View” editorials.
“We originally created ‘Point of View’ almost ten years ago with the intent of offering a perspective on the news that better reflected the values and opinions of our viewing public than the other available alternatives,” said Lamb. “Instead of being slavishly devoted to intensely conservative or liberal positions, we’ve always tried to put common sense above dogmatism, and I think we’ve succeeded in that regard.
More from Lamb: “But even though we’ve always welcomed dissenting opinions, airing scores of guest editorials and responses over the years, this latest step will represent the first time we’ve ever featured the opinions of another individual besides me on a regular, ongoing basis. I think it’s safe to say that Betty may look at many things differently than I do, and I think our audience will benefit from the even wider spectrum of opinion she’ll be providing.”
Those who hated her at A Kentucky Newspaper will surely hate her on the teevee.

Another voice!!?? Give me a break all the voices on air on liberals now. Don’t you mean the same voice !! Bill Lamb is at least objective and middle of the road. If Ms. Baye can be more objective that she is in the CJ great, but experience has shown different. I will give her more of a chance than any liberal has ever given the right

Reality: a majority of people aren’t teabaggers. And most folks with common sense realize the paper isn’t trash because it doesn’t blindly fall into line with bullshit – but because it’s just biased, hack, agenda-driven trash parading as journalism.

Where, might I ask, do you suggest I’ve violated any sort of rule on confidentiality? Only agreed upon sources we’re working with get that privilege. I’ll turn identities of commenters over to authorities, typically, without a subpoena and am happy to point out when people say ridiculous things from businesses around town.

I have serious doubts about the value of Ms. Baye’s editorial contribution to WDRB. Her problem here resembles a piano — with 88 keys. All she’s capable of is banging one key the entire concern. Makes for a boring concert and an even more boring writer or opinion-giver.
She’s little more than a one-thought, one-piano key performer.
Don’t think I’ll tune in.

I totally agree with The Highlander. I would glance at most of her cols in the C-J but they would either keep pounding “woe is me” race items (that’s the one key pounding referred to) or stories about her family in New York. The first is total BS and 99% of her readers didn’t care about her family stories. Thus I would stop reading.
