Most-Hated Former Congresscritter’s Having Fun

Atherton has to be the most important part of Louisville, right? Must be. Because the paper has mentioned Greg Fischer’s meeting there at least 100 times. [C-J/AKN]

Wondering what Anne Northup is up to these days? She’s involved in the partisan gridlock threatening the Consumer Product Safety Commission, that’s what. [WaPo]

Okay, kids, should we be holding our breath that Greg Fischer will actually selected a chief for the LMPD that officers respect and the city will appreciate? [WFPL]

  1. “A Grant Is a Grant, Is a Grant, Etc.”

Teacher #1: “Is this new UofL grant from the U.S. Department of Education for JCPS on the level? I haven’t trusted them since Felner, the Psycho Dean, had a similar kind of grant and embezzled it.”

Teacher #2: “This is not a No Child Left Behind grant. JR says it will allow students to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and chant, ‘I can do it, I can go to college’.”

Teacher #1: “In that case, why not just give the God damn grant money to the kids and their families?”

  2. If any of the allegations of abuse at Taylor Co. shelter are true – that’s horrific. But, just for some perspective – a “mass euthanasia” is 39 animals? LMAS kills that many on a daily basis. Hell, they often top 80 CATS in a single day, not counting the dogs.
