So — Louisville ranks 150th in the nation in intelligence! UofL’s academic program ranks 179th according to US News. And we wonder why we don’t elect ‘leaders’ who can extract Louisville from mediocrity!!! Sad/

It’s actually 164th now.

Suggest you take a look at an organization called “CEOs for Cities.” Check out the membership from three cities: Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Louisville. Enough said.

No surprise on the Louisville brainpower (or lack thereof) ranking, since it all boils down to THE question most asked in Possum Billy’s City:
“Trinity? Or St X?”
Those are the ONLY institutions that seem to truly matter in this Town-That-Would-Be -Something-If-It-Could

MANUAL is right up there with Trinity and St X!

Manual doesn’t have the pervasive, impermeable, & mystical eternal brotherhood of St. X & Trinity! ;-D
And remember, Rand Paul is willing to disembowel everything about Medicare & Medicaid – as long as payments to HIM are not reduced. I believe he said it was because he “deserves” his compensation.

“Highlander Is Up to His Old Tricks on UofL”
Highlander, y9ou might be shortchanging UofL’s US News & World Report ranking. It does come out slightly above such giants as Azusa Pacific, Biola, and Edgewood. I think JR and Co. should have their teeth on edge with that disastrous ranking–especially given their huge Foundation (one of the wealthiest of any state university). Yet their honchos want more and more money for doing less and less.

Manual doesn’t have Catholic males in power and does have women. Is mystique limited to men? –The power in this town certainly is.

We’re tied with West (by God) Virginia and San Diego State now. If you all are going to clown my alma mater at least use the correct statistics.
Also, what exactly is disastrous? What’s wrong with schools like Azusa Pacific, Northern Illinois, Kent State, New Mexico, Nevada, Virginia Commonwealth, Ball State or UMass-Lowell, all schools U of L is immediately ahead of? Do their degrees not count for some reason?
Also, you might want to contact a few folks like Tom Brokaw, Shirley Hufstedler, Gregory Peck, Eugene Wilkinson, Dennis Hastert, Harry Reid, Dick Armey, Michael Keaton, Joe Walsh, David Letterman, John Schnatter, Stephen Coonts and Nolan Bushnell, amongst others, and inform them that their college degrees are worthless.

164th in its academic offering UP FROM 179th. Absolutely fantastic achievement. I’m particularly pleased that we’ve passed up Azusa Pacific.
To put relevance to the statistics, Mr. Puckett, and to prove it’s little more than an athletic club — might I posit that IF Mr. Wonderful’s basketball team ranked 164th he’s be fired.
Now, does that help you understand what a mess Belknap is? Oh, probably not, since your head comes out of the sand like Poncetuck Philly comes out of the ground — once a year.

Not really helpful at all. You make about as much sense as a Martian talking to a fungo. And I prefer to get my weather predictions from a REAL groundhog such as Gus or Gen. Beauregard Lee.
That list of names I provided previously are alums of school currently ranked either even or below The University of Louisville.
Would you REALLY tell three U.S. Speakers of the House, the inventor of Atari, one of America’s greatest news anchors and actors, respectively, the first-ever Secretary of Education and the first commanding officer of the USS Nautilus that their collective undergraduate educations were meaningless?
As it is, ranking 164th out of approximately 1,800 4-year colleges in the nation actually doesn’t look too bad to me.

Jason Puckett: Hope you’re well paid by Comb-over, cause you really try hard, but nincompoops are a dime a dozen out at Belknap and it looks like you’re one of the warm ones, since the warmest area in mediocrity is generally in the middle of the herd.
13 Jason Puckett // Nov 27, 2011 at 10:28 pm
Actually, I’m not a nincompoop, nor am I a sheeple, and I don’t work at Belknap. I’m just someone who can see through your grudge-driven, copy-and-paste drivel on this particular subject.
I ask again, are the degree’s earned by the above mentioned folks worthless? Luckily they didn’t have you around to tell them how worthless they were.
