Oh, great, one of the dogs adopted from Louisville Metro Animal Services before the adoption push has distemper and the owner is struggling to keep it alive. What was that, again, about LMAS bothering to keep its animals healthy? [WLKY]

Sure, we think Jeff Ruby’s advertisement is borderline ridiculous. But what’s with shutting down a Casey Anthony dunking booth? That’s just kind of funny/fun. [H-L]

Yesterday marked the 77th day Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Steve Robertson questioned Jack Conway over his involvement in his brother’s drug investigation: “We’ve said it time and again…Jack Conway has poor judgment both professionally and politically,” said Robertson. “When voters are reminded of who this man is, what is stands for and where his loyalties lie, he will meet his second, and perhaps final, great political defeat.” Conway has officially lost control of this issue. The Belle of Louisville is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Because no one visits it and its staff does next to nothing to promote it. (We love the Belle, for the record) [WAVE3]

What’s crazy about this story of 67 cats being seized from a home is that it sounds exactly like the scene at the LMAS Manslick facility. [More FOX41]

    “Blinded by the Right?”

KY state official: “It’s been hard deciding to cut services for blind kids.”

Blind child: “I understand. We’ve been studying Social Darwinism in school. I realize how extreme conservatives wouldn’t mind us just fading way so that we wouldn’t be a drain on the public.”

The terribly designed 1950s style elevated waterfront expressway repels tourists and locals from the area where the Belle docks. The demand for Belle cruises will never cover maintenaince and operating costs as long as that eyesore and earsore remains.

Actually, what dissuades me is a lack of parking in the area.

@oos, the Galt House hotel has a large parking garage 20-30 yards away from the Belle’s dock.
