Kentucky’s population is 4,339,367 and is up more than seven percent since 2000.

    Average persons per representative in Kentucky for 2010: 725, 101
    Population of Jefferson County: 721,594 [2009 estimate, can't find 2010 data]
    This is probably close enough to make the Third District all of Jefferson County, no more, no less. Since most of the precincts he doesn’t have now are in mostly Democratic Okolona, I doubt if redistricting will affect Yarmuth negatively and may even help him.

    I’m interested to see if there will be significant population shifts within Louisville Metro and how that will affect council districts.
