Hey, Greg, Gov. Branstad Wants His Ad Back

September 16th, 2010 by jake · 7 Comments

Earlier today Greg Fischer launched his latest campaign ad:

What’s interesting about that? Last month, Iowa Governor Branstad ran the same ad:

Who did the Branstad ad? None other than Hal Heiner’s media consultant, Kim Doyle.

Not only is Greg Fischer following Hal Heiner on the policy front? Now he’s doing so on television by literally copying his consultants’ material!

Haha.

It is not pretty to watch the political sausage being made. The DC consultants charge a ton of money to grind out the same crap, year after year, for their ego driven clients.

Next thing you know Fischer will be claiming he invented the internet.

Don’t hate the player, baby, hate the game.

What’s really odd to me is that Heiner with his background can say the exact same things, so I don’t see how Fischer can pretend that he is any better.

I thought that the role of a campaign was to _distinguish_ yourself from your opponent.

It’s ironic that Greg “Mr. Originality” Fischer is plagiarizing ads and policy positions. Voters will see through his empty suit.

“Ice, Ice Baby” should invent a time machine that takes him back to the moment he decided it was a good idea to run for mayor.

I wish I could get specifics – how many NEW jobs did he create? Buying a company with existing employees does not create jobs. And if he wants to grow Louisville, why is his company IN INDIANA?
