David Tandy’s Council Aide Resigns

David Tandy’s Metro Council aide, Rob Haynes, just resigned his position.

Here’s why:

In 2000, I returned home to Kentucky and began working at City Hall. Over the past ten years, I have met thousands of citizens and community leaders who have made significant contributions to our city and my life. I have had the honor of working with many of you through the transition of merged government and serving our residents every day, making a difference.

Today, I am writing you to let you know that I am resigning my position and leaving Kentucky to go assist with recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast. I’m not sure exactly how long I will be down there, but feel the need to go and help in some way with the worst environmental and economic disaster in our nation’s history.

We wish Rob the best on his latest endeavor!

  1. Go get ’em, Rob. I’m so proud of what you’re doing. Make the difference that I know you can!
