Oh, looky there:
A federal appeals court has struck down a ban on political party affiliations for judicial candidates in Kentucky, but ordered a lower court to further consider whether candidates can commit to positions on issues.
The ruling, issued Tuesday by the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, clears the way for would-be judges in Kentucky to identify themselves as whatever party they choose and solicit campaign contributions.
That’s sure to improve the judicial system.
Please, hold back your puke, folks.

That’s going to be beautiful. And on the right there’s a Republican with tons of money from big oil and getting kickbacks from the arms manufacturers. Kind of like the big fine that BAE Systems got from the feds for their shenanigans involving overseas arms deals and export of those arms. This country is turned on its head when there is a lack of judicial independence and no involvement from either political sphere or any big corp. There goes the whole idea of having a fair trial as well because everyone knows that the grease turns the wheel in this their money.

By the way, it ought to be noted that Mitch McConnell has been good to BAE Systems over the years. The same folks that gave him 53k in contributions from their political action committee. They also gave 500k for the McConnell Center. Interesting how they get those contracts isn’t it. The Ditch Mitch people and bluebluegrass.com had some good pieces on it. It needs to be spread far and wide.

It must also be noted that BAE Systems received a 450 million dollar fine from the US Government for its involvement in many years of bribery that its company was shown to be involved in and was both prosecuted by the administrations in the United States and United Kingdom
