    Why would Abramson be mad?
Did someone not get an envelope or something?

    And here’s the press release:

MASTERSON’S PLANS FOND FAREWELL FOR OLD LOUISVILLE LOCATION; MAYOR ABRAMSON TO PROCLAIM “MEMORIES AT MASTERSON’S” DAY

Louisville, KY — In late July, the Masterson family will leave the Old Louisville restaurant they have occupied the last 73 years for the final time. The landmark English Tudor structure will be demolished to make room for new University of Louisville housing, and the Masterson family has chosen a unique method to document and preserve its history, by launching an interactive website (www.memoriesatmastersons.com) where decades of patrons and staff can upload and share their stories and photos.

To mark the website’s launch, Mayor Jerry Abramson will proclaim “Memories at Masterson’s Day” this Wednesday, June 23rd at 10:30 am at the 3rd & Cardinal location. Three generations of Masterson’s restaurateurs will be on hand to mark the ceremony.

“This place has been home to so many special moments for our family and countless others,” said third-generation co-owner Sueanna Masterson. “Besides our ‘regulars,’ we’ve hosted thousands of events here from wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners to civic events of all kinds. We encourage anyone who has a special memory of Masterson’s to visit our website and share it, so that we may keep its rich history alive.”

Founded in the late 1930’s by Greek immigrant Nicholas Mastoras, Masterson’s began as a 25 seat drive-in restaurant known as “The Little Mansion.” Several additions were built on to the property, and in the late 1960′s it was renamed Masterson’s Steak House. After Mr. Mastoras passed, his sons Philip, Alex and Greg, along with his brother Thomas and cousin Spero, grew the business to a 42,000 sq. ft. 1500 seat, full-service restaurant and banquet facility.
The Masterson family requests that stories be submitted by July 10th. They will then be sent to the Filson Historical Society for archiving.
