June 4th, 2010 by jake · 1 Comment

From the woman who did the hatchet job of a story on a WHAS11 employee a few months back comes the latest story about Fred Cowan tossing a requirement that JBS Swift do landscaping. Since the hog killing factory won’t have to beautify the property it, you can bet locals will try to force the foreign-owned corporation to do something about the stench and the noise. [C-J]

The corruption scandal and ensuing cover-up in Lexington keeps taking new turns. Every day. Now State Auditor of Public Accounts Crit Luallen is investigating. [Page One]

Have you seen this hilarity? Larry Craig was duped by The Daily Show. [HuffPo]

The Big Four Bridge got $12 million in funding from the state legislature. [C-J]

Everybody is excited that The Eagles will play at the downtown arena. We’re not entirely sure why. [WFPL]

The Harrods Creek bridge is one step closer to completion thanks to some giant cranes. [WAVE3]

Everybody forgot about Fairdale Bigfoot this week because of Memorial Day. So he just cold stole all of your barbecue and cheap beer. [Consuming Louisville]

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that Jack Conway’s spokesperson ignored LEO Weekly’s request for comment. It’s now two days later. Not exactly a smart move on the part of a U.S. Senate campaign. [FatLip]

The father of assault victim Bryan Stevenson is speaking out. What a sad story. [WHAS11]

Be sure to send in your questions for Louisville’s mayoral candidates. Greg Fischer’s campaign hasn’t responded, but Hal Heiner’s has. And I’m sure Jackie Green will be super-responsive. [The 'Ville Voice]

What’s the big deal w/the Eagles? I thought Mayor Happy Pants was going to ‘faint’ he was soooo happy. Said it made his wife happy. So everyone’s happy around Louis-vill.
