Jim King’s latest ad hits Greg Fischer pretty hard: Contributions to Anne Northup and other Republicans, embellishing his record by claiming to have won an award he didn’t win, moving jobs to Indiana and staying there because it was “easier” – see for yourself:

Ouch!
The ad is set to hit Louisville airwaves late tomorrow.

Any new polling available?

It would be nice if the mainstream media would do some investigations into the claims of all the candidates. Where’s the reporting?

This is great, King going negative on someone. This thing could get really fun over the last 2 weeks.

Let the mud fly!!! Looking forward to Greg’s rebuttal, he has to have one on tap.

King accusing someone of lieing? This is someone who begins his commercial by saying “I have messed up”. What a mess! King cannot, and will never become mayor of Louisville.

LEO: Do you anticipate a contentious campaign?
JK: I know most of the candidates that are in the race personally. I respect each and every one of them. I respect anyone who puts themselves out in a political campaign. Sitting here today, I do not believe the campaign will be negative. I believe it’ll be positive and issues-oriented. And that’s the approach we’re going to take.

So… people are just losing their shit because the ad attacks Fischer, not because it’s accurate?
Interesting.

The ad is accurate as far as I know. And Fischer already has good experience with mudslinging from the 2008 Senate campaign. Fischer cannot act like he’s some sort of angel being wrongfully attacked.

feel free to fact check it.

2008: Read that story. Doesn’t appear to be anything factually inaccurate in what he did.
I’m sure Fischer can hit back (despite his campaign telling reporters he won’t – I don’t believe that) on a number of issues. That’s what makes this fun.

Fischer is a lightweight, a literal reincarnation of Harvey Sloane — someone who’s ‘nice’ and won’t accomplish a single thing and who the CJ thinks is absolutely wonderful (because he does their bidding every day of the year). Time to elect a mayor who’s his OWN MAN and not a candy wrapper for the CJ.

That’s the problem with negative ads. It gives you a reason to NOT vote for someone, yet doesn’t give you a reason to vote for the other candidate.
