Yesterday JCPS announced the names of 20 seniors who won 2010 Vogt Achievement Scholarships. Henry V. Heuser Sr started the fund in 1999 with an endowment to provide $10,000 college scholarships to outstanding JCPS students. $1.7 million+ has been awarded to 170 students in the last 11 years.
Winners are selected based on SAT/ACT scores and cumulative grade point averages. Demonstrated community and campus leadership – along with recommendations – also get consideration.
