What? The Metro Councilcritters heart the gays?
See?
“Family Member: Any person who is the spouse, parent, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, or grandchild of a Metro officer; or is the dependent for tax purposes of the Metro Officer or the Metro Officer’s spouse; or who is a member of the Metro Officer’s household, including a person who is not a spouse … See Morebut in a committed relationship with the Metro officer and resides in the Metro Officer’s household, whether or not that member of the Metro officer’s household is dependent of the Metro Officer. “Committed Relationship” as used herein shall mean sharing of income and expenses by couples involved in heterosexual and/or homosexual relationships.”
The Council decided to define “family member” as including same-sex partners.
Bet you won’t see that advertised too many places in an election year.

It seems like this site is dedicated to bashing Fischer… what a shame. If you got real news, report it. STOP editorizing! Otherwise, the few of use who visit this site will flee.

Spamming the same comment on multiple posts isn’t exactly a smooth thing to do.
Here’s a tip: Leave. Don’t like it, don’t read it. Seriously. We don’t write for anyone but ourselves and if you aren’t cool with it, then carry on about your business.
Anybody who visits this site – or Page One – on a semi-regular basis realizes opinion is utilized.
That said… Greg Fischer has proved his character – or lack thereof – since 2008. And I’ll happily talk about it.

Before you celebrate gays being “included,” the “classes” of family member listed are for purposes of EXCLUSION from profiting from the insider status of the Metro official. But, HEY, any acknowledgment is preferable to being ignored & demeaned…

Gtown: You hit the nail on the head. And I think that’s a good thing. If us gays are to be accepted as equals, that includes the above. Gays can be corrupt, too.
