We’ve been hearing mayoral poll numbers all day and Phillip Bailey finally got his hands on them. You’ll pee a little. It’s basically all name ID, based on the data that have been leaked so far:
Republicans
- Thieneman 34
- Heiner 30
- Robertson 4
- Undecided 32
HAHAHA! Let’s look at that race again in about two weeks.
Democrats
- Fischer 20
- Tandy 17
- King 12 (some C-J folks also told me it’s 12.5, for what it’s worth)
- Allen 8
- Undecided 35 (I also hear 32)
This is kinda major, consider the only person who has really spent (real) money in a Democratic race is Greg Fischer.
Goodbye, Greg Fischer. Looks like David Tandy is going to beat you. That’s right – a boring, empty suit guy is going to beat you. He’s likely to get the Courier-Journal endorsement because your union busting ways – and your family’s – isn’t helping matters.
And if Jim King starts spending money? Hoo boy. Based on the latest media buy numbers, King bought about (a little more, actually) 1,000 points starting next week. Ouch for you. Guess Larry Clark will not get his dream.
Side note: Fischer, King and Tandy camps all tell me that Tandy isn’t actually this close in internal polling and won’t be able to hold his own (no $$). But we’ll see.

Certainly devastating (at least in terms of ego) for Heiner campaign with Thieneman in the lead. But I still clearly believe this is Heiner’s to lose. The negatives about Thieneman will hold sway and Heiner will get most of the undecideds.
Also interesting is that Tyler Allen’s number is within margin of error of King’s number, not to mention the same re: Fischer and Tandy. The element missing of course is that the TV wars haven’t started, and that will throw it all up in the air.
Very soon, King will move up and Tandy will move down.
King and Fischer will beat each other up, no question. And then that leaves Tandy or Allen to figure out a way to run up through the middle.

Teevee wars start this week.
I don’t think Fischer is going to stay at the top. Especially if the C-J runs the stories I’m hearing about.

I agree that Fischer’s negatives are not all known yet, but then he also has somewhat of a war chest, and he has a history of running negative ads.

So, on the Democratic side, who’s missing? With Shannon White, Connie Marshall, Lisa Moxely and Burrel Charles Farnsley at less than 4 percent combined, there’s another 4% unaccounted for. Or 7% missing if the 32% undecided that you hear about is right.

Steve: He’s spent his “war chest” on staff.
Marko: Shannon White is allegedly BELOW Burrell.

There’s no way Chris will beat Hal.

It seems like this site is dedicated to bashing Fischer… what a shame. If you got real news, report it. STOP editorizing! Otherwise, the few of use who visit this site will flee.

So Thieneman has run 3 times county wide and is only up by 4? Ruh Roh, Chris better get up on the TeeVee if he’s going to protect that lead. If Tyler Allen could raise any money he could put Fischer is a bad spot, namely #2.

Spamming the same comment on multiple posts isn’t exactly a smooth thing to do.
Here’s a tip: Leave. Don’t like it, don’t read it. Seriously. We don’t write for anyone but ourselves and if you aren’t cool with it, then carry on about your business.
Anybody who visits this site – or Page One – on a semi-regular basis realizes opinion is utilized.
That said… Greg Fischer has proved his character – or lack thereof – since 2008. And I’ll happily talk about it.

Frank: It’s not that Tyler can’t raise money, he won’t. And he’s apparently not keen on spending his own.
Watching him beat around the bush is worse than watching Greg Fischer act like he’s the chosen one.

Tyler is raising money, as I’m involved with two of the fund raisers, one that already happened and one upcoming. Also, Tyler started “The 2010 Club”, a social networking approach to raising funds — I’m hearing that it’s producing some good results so far.
Will he raise as much as Fischer or King? No. But then, both Fischer and King have negatives to fight, about themselves, and against each other.

He’s being dangerously passive about raising money. And holding a fundraiser here and there is fine and dandy. But unless he’s on the phone dialing for dollars, he just can’t compete.
That’s the sad reality (a reality that I hate) here in this city.
