First Mayoral Mail Piece Hitting This Weekend

March 5th, 2010 by jake · 8 Comments

The first major mail piece of the Democratic mayoral race is hitting about 90,000 (based on info I’m able to pull from the printer and the tight-lipped campaign) primary voters in Louisville this weekend and it comes from Jim King.

Let’s take a look of one of the pieces (It’s a full 8.5″ x 11″ before you unfold it) I was able to snag and am publishing without permission:

Honestly, I like what this piece of literature conveys to voters. It’s concise, not overwhelming and focuses on exactly what Louisvillians want to hear.

But the mess about building both bridges now? Not so much.

That’s a cute comment coming from a reporter. You know I won’t out you publicly because I feel sorry for you.

You also know that your boss tracks everything you leave here in the comments… because they also know what your deal is. They monitor YOU and not your coworkers, if that tells you anything.

By “strong Democrat,” does he mean he is Republican enough to attend a Mitch McConnell fundraiser? Wouldn’t that make him a “weak Democrat?” Or maybe he means he’s strong like a man, vs. a woman who can’t be strong because of the vagina thing? Is it St. X code? I’m just guessing. Seriously, what’s he mean by that?

    And I quote from 2007:

“While it is true that I attended the event, I did not contribute to Senator McConnell nor will I. I was invited to the fundraiser by three close friends, and I attended at their request. I actually saw it as an opportunity to have a face to face with the Senator regarding my efforts to have the FAA implement its Part 150 study to move primary air traffic to the west runway at Louisville International Airport. Currently, most air traffic is directed to the east runway which impacts several neighborhoods in the district I represent. I only accepted the invitation to talk briefly with Senator McConnell about this and other concerns related to my district, not to support in any way his efforts for reelection. Because of the anti-war protestors outside (which by the way I made no effort to avoid) , I took the opportunity to ask the Senator to end the war.”

If you’re going to lob accusations, know what you’re talking about.

Jim may not be my candidate but I think people need to get their shiz together before spewing out all kinds of irrational hatred.

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen you post. I’m about to pee my pants.

Point being: There are plenty of areas in which Jim King may be hit politically. No need to go knuckle-dragging like the Fischer crew.
