Everybody run to Kroger, stat! Snatch up all the hamburger buns and four or five gallons of whole milk!

We’re all gonna croak of the snow, oh noes!
Words of advice: DO NOT go to Kroger unless it is absolutely necessary. And I mean you better be starving to death. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself in the midst of a hot mess of meemaws wearing their curlers and husbands freaking out because they have no idea where anything is located.

I want complete Storm Team coverage from the salt storage dome baby!
Do we have enough salt?
Are the crews positioned and ready?
Have they pre-applied liquid de-icers?
Are they going to start with the main streets and then plow the backstreets?
Is this event going to financially strap our tightening government budget?

I’ve always wanted to park a big 18-wheeler on the Payne Street overpass and charge the TV guys a hundred bucks to move it.

Will TV crews be holding a battle royal to get the best positions on the Payne Street overpass?

To make matters worse, tomorrow is the dreaded First Wednesday of the Month, when Kroger offers a 10% discount to anyone over 60.

Thanks for putting the fear of god in us all, Kathy.
Great.

Don’t worry – based on the National Snowpocalypse Early Panic System, we will get somewhere between 0 and 100 inches of dry fluffy snow that will blow about in winds reaching Cat 5 hurricane force from every direction, creating the MOAW (Mother of All Whiteouts). No need to fear the poverty anymore, we are all going to freeze to death.
Have a nice day!

Oh this is just what I needed this morning. Great to get the day started with a giggle (both in the entry and comments).
I am so ready for the snow. I freaked out about it on Monday and loaded up on “supplies”.

Instead of hitting Kroger, go where they ain’t. Local food stores and food marts. Also, Walgreen’s has bread and milk.

Tomorrow morning during rush hour looks like a perfect time to go streaking on the Payne Street overpass. Who’s in with me?

So… About that. It appears that even Walgreen’s is outta bread and milk.
Meemaw strikes again!

I don’t know about streaking, but I bet you that Jim King pays for, and sponsors the de-icing activities on that overpass, and Doug Hawkins will “accidentally” walk behind the camera.

Don’t forget the cold weather shrinkage, John, even though television does make everything look bigger.
