What really gets me is that the ED is but a former spokesperson and a guy with zero knowledge of, you know, anything relating to the PSC. Not a bad guy but certainly in the wrong job.

You can thank Steve Beshear for that. And for his recent appointment of Borders to the PSC, an absolutely flustercuck.

When I was County Attorney, things like this out of the PSC didn’t happen without an extensive legal battle. We fought the Trimble County power plant from 1976-1994 and eventually won a $169m judgment against LGE for the ratepayers, that was battled for another half dozen years resulting in an eventual $120m+ refund for the ratepayers. It doesn’t have to be this way, but to prevent the utility from over-stepping its bounds — somebody’s got to get off their butt and work for the public . The problem is that the 3 members of the PSC generally speaking don’t know any more about utility regulation than my pug dogs know about space travel. That’s true in this instance, too — its chairman is David Armstrong. “nough said.”
