A thought/some questions:
David Tandy says he wants to pay police officers more by charging Metro Corrections inmates more money, right?
Any chance that “maximum fee” would raise more than a couple bucks?
Never mind that it sets an unfair precedent. How many poor non-whites are jailed while innocent? Wouldn’t this create an incentive to arrest more people for just whatever reason?
What the heck kind of leadership is that?
The jail barely functions as it is with its current strapped budget. Even Doug Hawkins knows better.

There’s a new Metro Council president in town: The Cordish Cos. You may remember the former president, David Tandy, who mysteriously disappeared after a trip to Baltimore to meet with the Fourth Street Live developer about accounting for the $950,000 in taxpayer money it spent to refurbish the Sports & Social Club. Somewhere amid the sporting and socializing, Tandy’s balls — as well as those of some other city officials — wound up in a Mason jar stored in an undisclosed location. Not to mention the officious move to keep Swift in Butchertown with an ill-advised ordinance of support.
Ouch.

Metro Corrections does not “charge” inmates. Instead, they spontaneously CONFISCATE up to $35 from the inmate’s pocket or wallet for their “booking” fee. To me it seems to be legalized THEFT, if this is indeed the standard operating procedure.

Me Too!…..Wouldn”t supprise me to see some scam to make one of the Cordish guys Pres. of the Metro Council. Maybe Jerry could use the same method he used in PRP…? LOL..!!
What a bunch of Crapy Goldbrickers!….As far as the location of Dandy Tandy’s balls??….Look for that mason jar swinging from Mayor Jerry’s or Cordish’s rear view mirror in their Bently driving around Baltimore?

That same article states ” the city’s zoning board knowingly conducted an illegal secret meeting earlier this year at the behest of departing Director Charles Cash”
So where does the “departing” come from? Did I miss something?
