Why don't you guys become GOOOH-bers. Like al Qaeda, they're trying to destroy the American system to fix the problems they complain about.

Not a serious suggestion, of course.

Couldn't agree more Bill. This is getting scary and both parties are absolutely to blame. The number are just bigger now because they can be justified easier. If the Republicans were in power, I'm not sure it would be much better.

I guess in that case, we better make sure to pay up the bill to China. Since they don't have much of a human rights record with their own people, I wonder what they would do regarding a debtor country that is basically bankrupt and has been increasingly indebted due to 30 years of bad government policies that increased the debt from 1 trillion in 1980 to nearly 12 trillion today.

If I recall correctly, both parties were responsible for the mess so that kills the neocon versus liberal dogma. Maybe if we're smart, we can figure out a way to get out of the mess but thats not real likely due to critters running up the credit card with reckless abandon. Including 3 trillion this year.

They should get credit for that as well since we couldn't afford that war either.

I guess the Chinese get the credit for the unnecessary Iraq War too.

Ultimately, it's our money, whether we pay now or pay later. And public investments are a continuing need.

Since the Chinese were kind enough to lend the $2.85B to us, I think they should get the credit.
