The Jefferson County Republican Party has fallen apart since the departure of former chairman Brad Cummings.
Could go on for days about how the JCRP is in financial turmoil, but I’ll just excerpt from the latest email blast to reference my point:
Mark your calendars now for these upcoming events and be a part of the fun!
*The Chris Theineman for Mayor Campaign will hold it’s headquarters grand opening this Saturday, December 5th from 9:30 to 11 am at 503 Washburn Avenue, Suite 201. There will be a free pancake breakfast for those in attendance. Santa Claus will be on hand for photos with the kids and families. The campaign is hosting a clothing drive to support local charities and community outreaches. Please bring gently used clothing to breakfast or drop them by the campaign headquarters and the campaign will see that the clothing is delivered.
*Rand Paul will be holding an organizational meeting for volunteers on Saturday, December 5th from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Government Center located at 7201 Outer Loop. Contact David Goldberg at davidross@randpaul2010.com for more information.
*Louisville MRA Republican Christmas Party will be Tuesday, December 15th from 7 to 9PM at Masterson’s Restaurant (1830 S. 3rd Street). Bobbie Holsclaw will be the guest speaker. The event is free, refreshments are provided and GOP candidates are welcome. Sponsorships are available for $100 towards the Friends of Bobbie Holsclaw. Contact Frank Friday for details: fridayesq@aol.com
*February 19th, 2010 we will hold our annual Jefferson County Lincoln Day Dinner. Mark your calendars now for this great event as we kick off a very exciting 2010 election cycle. Details to follow soon.
Yeah. That’s what the Party has become. And this is easily the 15th or 16th email I’ve received in the past month that mentions Rand Paul with zero mention of Trey Grayson.

Rick Redding was an original founder of this website.

Jake, I’m not quite sure how that email supports your claim the JCRP has “fallen apart” or that it is in “financial turmoil”. The purpose of the email you included is to raise awareness and support for our GOP candidates. That is, after all, one of the major objectives of the local party.
While Brad was certainly a fresh face for the party and helped position us well for 2010, Jerry Miller has done a great job since assuming the role just a short time ago. I assure you there are many good things going on behind the scenes.
Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading your postings each day.

Jerry’s doing a great job… which is exactly why an unnamed gent at JCRP isn’t being paid the past two months, eh?
My point is that eleventy billion silly emails like this come out every month that support Rand Paul like woah.
