		<description>I worked for Ann for a number of years.  She was a wonderful boss and a good journalist. That bureau has good people to try and pick up the slack but at some point it becomes too much. Joe Biesk is a huge loss as well. I have no idea how the staffers there are able to keep going through all of this.</description>

		<description>That IS bad news. The more we lose full-time reporters, the more the crooks and crazies can get away with. Blogs and &quot;citizen journalism&quot; help fill some of the gap, but not all. Take away the yellow journalism practiced by some, and the gap gets even bigger. Not good.</description>
