Looks like the Jerry Abramson – Cordish Companies hot mess has spread all across the land:
The mayor said he’s pushing for the arena/hotel-casino/entertainment district project, number one, as a way to get jobs for the community. He’s also pushing for it as a way to revitalize the downtown. Cordish’s projects in both Louisville and Kansas City have revitalized those formerly two dead downtowns with vibrant, energetic live entertainment districts, he said.
“My friend, the mayor of Louisville, said they’re just giving Cordish as much land as Cordish will take,” Goodman said. “Then to have an arena, then takes us, in my opinion, into being a world-class city.”
We aren’t sure whether or laugh or cry.

I wonder how many intellectual jobs are in that mix.

“giving Cordish as much land as Cordish will take”
I vote: cry.
Giving out-of-state white guys our city’s only asset: downtown real estate is spitting in the face of local entrepreneurs. I have an idea. Let’s stop it.

Give him a year–he’ll deny ever having MET Jerry, much less been his “friend”!
By March of 2010, Jerry Abramson will be politically radioactive.

It looks like a good time for the ground to open up under the Metro Hall and it get swallowed whole. After all, with the vast amounts of corruption that this administration has been accused of, someone needs to be prosecuted.
As far as Mayor Happy Pants goes, I suspect that its a good time for everyone to give him a going away present by letting all the dirty secrets of Metro Government open up and see the light of day. I figure it this way, if Mayor Happy Pants can’t handle the heat then he definitely does not deserve to be the Lt. Governor. Not that he ever earned the post anyway. Just about like the rest of the gaggle of incompetents that run this state.
