Sponsored by the Greater Louisville Project, the event is free and open to the public. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Learn what the research says about education in Southwest Jefferson County
- Ask a panel of experts your questions about the current state of education and efforts that are under way
- Participate in a brainstorming session to discuss what we can all do to break down the educational barriers for our children
Special guests include: Rep. Darryl Owens; Rep. Joni Jenkins; Rep. Tim Firkins; Rep. Kevin Bratcher; Sen. Perry Clark; Councilcritter Rick Blackwell; Councilcritter Bob Henderson; Shively Mayor Sherry Conner; Carolyn Gatz, Greater Louisville Project; Glenn Baete, Doss High School principal; JCPS board member Linda Duncan. Why is senor Hawkins and Seum not on the agenda. Surely there are scary things in this area we should be made aware of.

Getting rid of Sheldon Berman is the first step. He’s just about as competent as Daeschner was in the final years. Which isn’t saying much. In fact, its time for most of the JCPS Board to be replaced by some thoughtful and intelligent people who are interested in true reform and figuring out why Louisville schools finished 118th in the state of 154 school districts as was released by the US Department of Education. Pretty sad when the most prosperous and economically largest bloc in Kentucky has schools worse than some of the rural schools in poor regions.
In fact, lets get Berman a termination letter soon that way maybe they can put a replacement in by January 1st and then a new superintendent next year.
