Remember the Deputy Coroner who sued Ron Holmes and got a settlement? Well, check this mess out:
The motion asks Judge Audra Eckerle to enforce the settlement and order that Jesse Paulley be paid $64,127. The amount of the settlement previously hadn’t been made public because it was part of a confidential agreement.
Paulley sued Holmes in September 2007, one month after he was fired by the coroner, who had told police that Paulley assaulted him in the coroner’s parking lot. Paulley denied that claim and no charges were ever filed.
The lawsuit claimed that Paulley was fired in retaliation for telling police of allegations that Holmes mishandled funds meant for a program that provides grave markers for indigent burials, improperly kept prescription medications seized by deputy coroners and threatened to fire anyone who did not contribute money to his 2006 re-election campaign.
