Maybe because the stench from that area keeps it from being one of the best neighborhoods. I used to work in that area a year or so ago and it wasn’t all that great. Let’s see, the ghetto is moving into that area and its becoming overran by Third world denizens. Other than Southern Parkway, we’ll see how long it will be before its another West Side story

I don’t see where anything bad was said about one of Louisville’s bestest-best-best-best neighborhoods, Beechmont. :)

Hey, leave Beechmont alone, the last firehouse was built in 1925 and this one will probably have to last at least as long as that one. It has a lot of specialized equipment, not to mention being “home” to a bunch of guys. I’m just glad they didn’t go through with the original plan to close it annd move it.
