LEO Sits Down With Another Candidate: The best way to learn where Tyler Allen stands on things. Careful, these ideas make sense. [LEO]
That’s a Lot of Botany: A non-profit group says it will take $30-$40 million in funding to put a botanical garden on 22 acres at Frankfort and River Road. [WFPL]
First, Read This: Before you side with Mitch McConnell and defend Humana for sending out scary letters to seniors, read the facts, which are all right here. [Page One]
King-Sized Point: Jim King wrote a letter to the C-J about this whole mess over giving money to his daughter. Should it really be that hard to give money to your own flesh-and-blood? [Courier]
Jock in Jail Dept: Don’t you love the fact that every time Billy Gillispie gets in the news about his drunk driving arrest, news orgs show that mug shot? He’s been offered a plea in Anderson County. [WHAS-AM]

I believe there have been several failed past efforts to get a local botanical garden. I hope this one takes. They have a great facility in Columbus, Ohio. And Nashville has Cheekwood Botanical Garden.

King Sized: Find it ironic that King has lambasted the Cordish scandal for following the letter of the law but crossing the line on ethics and intent, and yet hits the same lick on the ‘was it a campaign contribution or a parental gift?’ question.
Is that smell really coming from Butchertown, or from further down Market?

Ky guy, it applies to everybody. Doesn’t matter if you like them or not.

syvyn11, there are plenty of situations where people don’t have a right to freedom of speech. Employers routinely make workers sign non-disclosure agreements. If Humana didn’t like the terms, they shouldn’t have signed the contract.

Of course, they just smacked the Kings on the wrist as usual. No real punishment. If you want to consider 5000 dollars punishment or whatever the paltry sum ended up being, it was nothing to the purveyors of propaganda that will be running the mayor’s office. Unless there is some disgusted majority that votes either Republican or some other Dem, you will get Jim King for mayor and that will be the undoing of Louisville
