I honestly don’t think anyone is truly sorry for their actions.. They are only sorry they were caught. But, if it were a guy down the street this happened to, it wouldn’t be blown up like this. People are human and make mistakes all the time. One night stands happen all the time, unfortunately..even Bill Clinton wasn’t strong enough to resist. oh what a mess..

Pitino was known as a purveyor of “positive thinking.” What is your “positive” opinion of him now? And Rick’s newly found rage doesn’t help him either during his current abominable circumstances (which he created for himself).

Can you imagine a real grown man not taking responsibility like Pitino did? He’s not sorry for the affair, he is just sorry that he got caught. There’s nothing respectable about that. The only reason they didn’t fire Pitino for his actions is because they need to fill the 22,000 seat arena.

Ramsey and Jurich knew that the fate of the arena and being able to pay the tab for everything was due to the fact that they had to have a high profile basketball coach. Pitino fits the bill for that. The reputation of the university and city is not important to them. After all, its a university that already had the Felner scandal, numerous tuition increases, people not earning degrees and instead getting favors, and much more. They know that they have to find a way to fill that arena they built before it becomes the Mistake on the Ohio.

Sure it looks great but anyone in 2006 and 2007 could tell you that the housing market was overheated and the national economy was on the downswing in 2008-2010.

They are obviously proud of what they have done and are yukking it up around town at their functions and at Metro Hall. The big thing will be when its an albatross around the necks of the taxpayers of this city. No one bothered to look out for the taxpayers and those who will foot the bill. Indianapolis is currently running deficits for their sports complexes that taxpayers end up footing the bill for. Cincinnati and Hamilton County Ohio are also have the same situation that they will have to have property tax rollbacks canceled because of budgetary problems.

I wonder if Jim Host or any of the movers and shakers downtown had anything to do with Pitino staying. I find it strange that you have a morals clause yet turn around and keep a guy who fired Winston Bennett from his staff for doing the same thing.

On TANDY!…..The payment of his own expenses of the trip to Baltimore is the absolute proof that the plan to do a NDA or Confidentially Agreement was done before they ever boarded the plane on the trip. Think Tandy was attempting to insulate himself from the critics in advance , wonder if he paid for his own meals,hookers,drinks etc…..you know ,all the luxurys that come with the perks from a deal with Cordish. Mr Honest & Mr. Considerate he is NOT!….. Wonder if he made the Nolin Lake Boat trip that Cordish foot the bill for this week for all the employees of 4th street.
In todays economic struggle of business’s operating on their own hard earned money and credit, I wonder how many local companys can afford to send all their employees on all expenses paid vacation to the lake.
I’d guess the temp at the Cordish gang is “why Not”….after all we don’t have to paay back any of the development debt, we don’t have to pay any rent, we don’t have to pay any Taxes, we don’t have to follow any of the rules that all the other locals have to , so lets Party!…
