Louisville Metro Council President David Tandy said he will enter the race for mayor on Monday when he files paperwork that will allow him to start raising money for the 2010 race.

Tandy, D-4th, said he planned to announce his intentions Sunday morning at the 9:40 a.m. service at St. Stephen Church, where he planned to ask his congregation to pray for him as he enters the race.

That’s right. He thinks he can run for mayor after the Kenya McGruder scandal. After Russ Parr Part III. After not condemning Jerry Abramson’s racist remarks. And most recently, after burying the city of Louisville in a pile of horse dung with his non-effort on uncovering the truth about the Cordish scandal.
