Done Deal — Abramson Joins Beshear

July 20th, 2009 by admin · 11 Comments

For once, the rumors are true. Sunday night Jerry Abramson and Steve Beshear announced they’ll be running for Governor and Lt. Gov. in 2011, and that Jerry won’t be seeking an additional term in 2011.

Political season is in full swing. David Tandy sent out a release, saying nothing, Sunday night. Jim King says he’ll probably have an announcement of some sort later today. Greg Fischer and Tyler Allen are busy talking to lots of people.

And Abramson critics are rejoicing that we’ll have somebody new to criticize in 2011.

Next year, 2010, is the mayor’s race.

Anyway, fun! And certainly good for Louisville to get fresh (or at least, fresher) leadership.

Does this mean Cordish will now go statewide?

With any luck, Beshear won’t be re-elected anyway, and he and Jer will both fade away.

Finally a job he was made for.
No or few responsibilities, staff to kiss ass, plenty of cheerleading, glad handing and ribbon cuttings.
Jer leaving as Mayor! This is too good to be true. Can we buy out his contract early?
I keep slapping myself thinking this is all a dream. Jer, don’t let the city hall door hit you on the way out.

Now will they please take down that damned monitor at the airport near security that screams “Hi, I’m Mayor Jerry Abramson and welcome to Louisville, America’s 16th largest city.” every time you come home from a flight. I swear I’m gonna go postal on it one day.

Beshear must be gettign a hack of price from Cordish for his old lae firm. There is no way that Beshear can win re-election with this yutz. The unions hate him the people despise him and beshear is dunber than owl crap. Sounds like we need to say Governor Farmer

At least maybe the two colossal buffoons running together will find a way to lose. After all, I’m sure that Jerri will find a way to step in his own mess again and make a jerk of himself. He’s refined it well over the years. It takes a lot in this Democratic state to have unions hate you and the people as well. The only thing worse than Jerry would be to have a neanderthal like David Williams in the governors office.

I’d rather he transition off to Frankfort than continue here in town and maybe he will do something for Louisville.

It’s (the Capitol building) not the state facility that he deserves to be in, so Eddieville will just have to wait. At least he is out of “Possibility city”
