Here’s where reading The ‘Ville Voice really pays off.
This weekend we’re celebrating the Louisville Blues and Barbecue Festival at the Water Tower. You can listen to 10 Blues bands over three days, performing on stage with the Ohio River in the background. It’s a really cool setting.
You won’t go hungry either. Firefresh and The Q are providing the food, you can bring your kids, and the parking is free. You can bring a lawn chair and a blanket.
Sound fun? Well here’s where we come in. We’re giving away tickets, so you can save the $6 (before 6) or $9 admission charge.
So all you have to do is make a Comment here on this post, and we’ll tell you how to pick up the tickets. Use your real e-mail address. We’ll notify you if you’re a winner by Wednesday.

We’d love tickets as well! We didn’t get to travel to Chicago this year for their Blues fest.
Hopefully we’ll get a tribute to Koko Taylor here!
Thanks!

I would like to have some tickets as well. My wife and I like listening to good music, but Kentucky Homefront is on haitus until August and the Kentucky Music Weekend at Iroquois Park is not until July 25-26. Perhaps this will tie us over.

This is the first time I have commented-come to this site at least twice daily to see what is going on the town. I love this festival-haven’t been for a few years-would love to get tickets.

Tickets to the show will be great, and I promise we won’t be late. We will order a great big plate of ribs, cole slaw and beans that are baked.
We will watch and hear the best blues anywhere in the 50 states. Thanks Bisig Group, the Ville Voice, and especially the blues bands that are first rate.

It’s a shame that this isn’t the festival it once was. No knock on the locals playing it, but I remember when the headline acts were people like Albert King, Lonnie Brooks, Eddie “The Chief” Clearwater.

I’m broke. Unemployed. Going through a divorce and love the blues. I was hoping to sucker one of my friends into paying admission and I would attempt to bring cheese sticks and a blanket. It would be great if you kept me from begging. Then maybe I could use my begging money to buy a drink. Pick me, please.

I’d love some tickets. Don’t care about the blues, but bbq is the bomb!

bbq blues tix would be great. I’ve got a giant case of the blues as I write….just got fired, dog kicked the bucket, wife left for another woman, grandma has dis-owned me, and my lawnmower won’t start.
Some blues music sure would cheer me up, or would it? Would like to find out.

Wife and I became empty nesters last week and this would be a great way to see what it is like to see the outside World again. Besides last comment should win.
