Registration is open now for the 48-Hour Film Project, coming to Louisville for the fourth time this year.
It’s a unique and challenging format. Teams organize and get their topic and props, then get 48 hours to put together a short film. You’ve got to abide by the rules, like using a certain phrase and prop. But everything else is pretty much up to your imagination and what you can get filmed and edited in 48 hours.
Having attended a screening last year, trust me, it’s a riot.
The local producer of the event is Sheila Berman, a great local attorney. There’s only room for a limited number of teams, so if you’re an aspiring filmmaker, get your entry in right away.
The local version is part of a national project, and there are great prizes. And it’s only $135 to enter, if you do it early. The first official event is a Meet and Greet at 21C on June 19.
