There are two kinds of coaches in the NCAA. The ones that get caught cheating and the ones that cheat and don't get caught. In Calipari's case he cheated and didn't get caught (not named in the letter.)

Almost every major coach has been linked (directly or indirectly) to some kind of violation at one time or another in their career. Pitino got caught in Hawaii. Kansas had the same thing happen when Roy left for UNC. Even one of Duke's players was found to be taking big money from an agent. Since Calipari is at or near the top of the food chain in coaching and has a certain rep he's getting hammered in the press. But the fact is that he'll win big with his tactics and that’s really all that matters to most basketball fans.

Isn't it interesting after the whole spectacle of a extortion proceeding, we find out that the coach at University of Kentucky very well might have been involved in some sort of rules infractions from his previous time at Memphis. One has to wonder how deep this will go and this would be the second time the coach has been in trouble for rules violations. Is this what the UK folks want? One has to wonder how these people could ever condone this and in light of all the accusations that were made by these people regarding the U of L coach, what irony to find their own coach was involved in some serious stuff.
